A winning end to the Combe season for WPR

The WPR signed off their 2018 Castle Combe season with a fine win for Josh Fisher (Van Diemen JL14) backed up by team boss, Wayne Poole, taking a class win in the same Formula Ford event, driving his Van Diemen RF88.

Josh qualified the Richard Hudson-Evans car in second place but a good start saw him take a lead he wasn't to relinquish during the 15 lap event. The result was good enough to take third place in the 2018 Castle Combe Formula Ford championship

Wayne only managed three laps in practice to line up last on the grid but worked his way through the field during the race to finish an overall seventh. This left Wayne the winner of Class C and take the fastest Class lap. In the Championship, Class C had already been won by team driver, Steve Bracegirdle, who elected to miss the event.

In the Hot Hatch race, Graham Cox qualified his Renault Clio mid grid in fifteenth place and spent the race in a idfield battle with Clios and Fiestas, eventually finishing a creditable 11th.
