Disappointment for Fisher but wins for Bracegirdle

The Whitsun race day at Castle Combe on May 28th featured two Formula Ford Races and a chance for Josh Fisher to establish a lead in the Championship in his Richard Hudson-Evans Van Diemen JL14. However, on the third lap of practice he felt the engine tighten up so quickly stopped and as the problem couldn't be fixed so he was unable to take further part.

Steve Bracegirdle was unchallenged in Class C with his Van Diemen RF89 so went on to take a couple of Class wins and fastest laps.

Steve also ran the Mini Cooper S in the capacity Saloon Car events qualifying 23rd and finishing 18th and 15th after a couple of very good races. In the Hot Hatch race Graham Cox was out again in his Renault Clio, qualifying 15th and finishing 14th (6th in Class) despite a misfire and still earned some valuable points.
