At the public test day held at Castle Combe to-day (19th August) two new faces appeared with the WPR team. Denise Bracegirdle (wife of WPR racer Steve - pictured together right) was having her first test in one of the team's Van Diemen RF88s. Having only previously done a school day at the track, Denise really set to it and put in over 100 laps during the day with Steve not far behind. Team boss, Wayne Poole, commented that he couldn't recall using so much fuel during a test session! Denise hopes to complete her ARDS test shortly and then............. It was a successful test for the pair with Steve setting PBs in the low 1m 16s and Denise working her way down to a 1m 25.0s best.
